For a couple of years now, I have been wanting to have a “paint day.” One that consists of messy twister, throwing paint, and making sloppy art. I may legally be an adult, but I am still a child at heart. I love scribbling and being messy, whether covered in mud or paint.
I have finally been able to make half of this dream come true. After trying to convince many people to participate in my crazy idea, I finally found a group. I am lucky enough to have family who loved my idea. Yes, two of them are children themselves and one a baby. It was such a fun experience. The water color paints didn’t turn out how I hoped, but for throwing this activity together at the last minute, it wasn’t bad. My niece and nephew loved that they were able to run around in the woods covered in paint. We even went and got dinner at In N Out looking like this, with no regrets might I add. But before we ate we decided to have a little dance party in the Costco parking lot. We got so many people driving by staring at us, probably judging, but who cares? None of us did. We were busy having the time of our lives.
I am so glad I was able to give my niece and nephews this experience. I will always be one to plan childish activities. I don’t care how old I am. I will never out grow that. I’m thankful I was able to capture most of the afternoon on my GoPro.
